Walayar Wayside Amenities

A place to pause on NH 544

At Pudussery East in Palakkad, Shivani Wayside Amenities Private Limited is developing a wayside amenity on NH 544 under the National Highways Authority of India’s (NHAI) wayside-amenity programme through a public-private partnership framework. The proposed development is intended to give highway users a place to pause, refresh and continue their journey.

The scheme design organizes the site into seven planned zones, including food and beverage, retail, commercial and banqueting, event and stay, and trucker and vehicle-service uses. These plans reflect the wider purpose of wayside amenities: making rest and useful services more accessible to travellers, while creating space for local enterprise.
